Nikon AF-S 16-35mm f/4G ED VR Nikkor Lens Review
Nikon AF-S 16-35mm f/4G ED VR – Nikon lens, many photographers were waiting for ultra wide-angle professional zoom lens with constant aperture F/4, Nano-Crystal-coated lenses and vibration. A typical professional level Nikon lenses, build quality is very good, but in this case the lens is not too large or heavy. At 125mm a long time, it is only slightly larger than the Nikon’s tiny, but the old 20-35mm f/2.8 and weight of 685g makes the balance very well on my Nikon D700, with or without the optional grip MB-D10.
High quality plastics have been used throughout most of the construction, which are textured finish, which should not be easy marks. 77 mm lens accepts filters on the front of the lens, which will please many photographers interested in shooting landscapes. Filter flux plastic, but I have not had any problems with metal filters cross-Threading, during use. Petal shape hood and soft lens pouch shown in the window.
The increase is governed by a wide prorezinennnuyu closer to the camera body. There is a big creep resistance to ensure an increase is not a problem, and, although the mechanism appears quite smooth in this example, the increase of the lens in and out makes quite audible muffled noise. I could not find it too disturbing is used though.

The lens does not extend to the focus or zoom moves as the front element and back into the lens body. I found the autofocus is very fast, accurate and virtually silent, thanks to Nikon Silent Wave focusing motor. Manual focus adjustment can be made at any time, but it is a feature I rarely use the lens as wide as it is.
Overall, this lens is very good round performer to be able to produce images of very good resolution, especially in the center of the frame, where the performance is excellent up to 24 and very good in the future. Efficiency in this regard is not as striking as the 14-24mm lens, as I hoped, but still very solid indeed.

This lens is recession defects and distortions. Distortion at 16mm is actually a little stronger than I found on the Nikon 14-24mm at 14mm, which surprised me. If you can live with these weaknesses I did not want to supply you with this optics.
With this lens is able to accept filters, this lens should find homes in many Nikon landscape photographer shooting kit bags and functions of VR can provide opportunities for those who want to stop down to a depth of field, or shooting in low light conditions without support.
This lens is Nikon many shooters have been waiting for, and although it does not surprise me, as 14-24mm did, it is still very capable professional quality lens.
