While working on small improvements with each new model, the hallmark of the Flip camcorder series continues to be their utter simplicity. The new UltraSD and UltraHD do nothing to change this distinction. The interface is virtually identical to the previous flips. On the back is a 4-way directional pad with a record on off button in the middle, a play button and a delete button. The iconic flip-out USB arm extending from the side, as on the first generation Flip Ultra. There is still no menu on the screen to fight, only for recording and playback functionality. As with the Flip Ultra and Minos, the new camcorders have built-in software that loads in the new on any computer for editing and uploading on YouTube and other video hosting sites.
