Canon PowerShot SX20 IS Review
Canon PowerShot SX20 IS is a 12.1-megapixel super-zoom camera with a 20x optical lens and 2.5″ flip-out screen stabilized. Announced in August 2009, it comes a year after his predecessor, the popular massively SX10 IS.’s Canon is not too upset with a recipe for success and kept the body, lens, screen and AA battery power of the SX10 IS, but enhanced it with some important upgrades.
Obviously (and unavoidably) Canon has increased the resolution from 10.0 to 12.1 megapixels. More importantly, the movie mode now offers a 720p HD option, and there’s also an HDMI port, so you can have videos and photos in high quality can watch on an HDTV.
The SX20 IS has also been shrewd in its auto mode, busy scene detection, recognition of people with close-ups and can also detect between different light conditions, and even if the subject is moving. This makes is easier to access, is the SX20 now also offers hints and tips that explain what to do different settings if necessary. And for those who like to know exactly when a photo has been no consultation with the file attributes, a new date stamp can optionally imprint the information included in the corner of your images.

These new features enhance what is already one of the best super-zoom cameras on the market. The headline 20x optical zoom range is extremely flexible and provides coverage equivalent to 28-560mm with effective image stabilization.
